SCOPE
Our scope was to undertake reconstruction of grain storage bay bases and the connecting roads used for storage and heavy duty load out equipment using low carbon technology to support CBH strategy for carbon neutrality.
KEY CHALLENGES
New low carbon material and technology challenged the status quo for methodology.
Technically demanding sites with heavy loading and high axle weight
High volume site and time constraints for build to ensure completion prior to grain season
DOLLARS SAVED
10%
KG CO2 SAVED
54,000
TIME SAVED
30% (4 days)
SOLUTIONS
We worked with the client to develop a solution which would provide a robust and cost-effective, low carbon alternative to traditional construction. This incorporated MasterCarb A which has an equivalent performance to asphalt with a carbon neutral environmental position.

OUTCOMES
Over 13,000m2 of carbon neutral heavy-duty pavement installed.
Project completed on time with no impact to primary site operations.
Technical outcomes exceeded expectations.
