Hiway Group has expanded throughout New Zealand and Australia and has successfully developed a strong market leadership position over its 36-year operating history.

35+ years of pavement innovation

In 1986 a road construction company, Hiway Stabilizers, launched in New Zealand. The core business focused on new pavement construction and pavement stabilisation.

Hiway has since grown to become the leading provider of low-carbon, sustainable pavement solutions and engineering with more than 250 design, operational, consultancy and management team members in offices throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Hiway’s innovative technologies have revolutionised construction methods and materials globally, exemplified by the Masters suite of specialised products as well as techniques such as Foamed Bitumen Recycling.

Hiway MasterScrim™, a top-tier road re-texturising solution and Hiway MasterCarb™, a carbon-negative, cold in-situ recycled asphalt, are recent major developments supporting Hiway’s passion for leading low-carbon solutions in transport infrastructure.

Sustainability – reduce, reuse, recycle and repurpose

Since inception, Hiway has pioneered the recycling and reuse of in-situ materials across the transport infrastructure sector.

By continuously pushing innovation in our solutions for customers, we’ve been able to significantly reduce carbon emissions while improving pavement resilience, and deliver savings in cost and construction time.

A specialist team in each core business area is dedicated to the research and development of sustainable solutions and environmentally friendly processes with a suite of products that reuse existing pavement materials.

Hiway’s range of products & solutions provide 20% to 100% carbon savings over traditional pavement construction technologies. As an industry first, our carbon negative in-situ cold recycled asphalt pavement solution provides customers with the option for carbon credits on their infrastructure projects.
